THERE ARE 3 CATEGORIES OF MIA CHAMPIONS
-
CHAMPION SUPPORTER/DONOR
With continuous or one time donations, you can help provide opportunities, professional and academic development, paid internships, outreach initiatives and more for minority women in the aquaculture field.
-
CHAMPION PARTNER
Provides internships and mentorship opportunities for MIA members and other under-represented demographics in aquaculture and fisheries.
-
CHAMPION SPONSOR
Businesses and organizations can assist by increasing our capacity to provide resources for MIA members including the purchase of field clothing (i.e. oilskins, waders/boots), paying for intern housing, transportation options, and other goods/services.
An MIA Champion is anyone and everyone that supports the mission, vision and efforts of the MIA organization.
In addition to donations and contributions, MIA champions can support our organization by advocating and educating others about who we are and what we do.
Everyone, no matter the demographic, career field and/or location can become a champion supporter of MIA.
MIA has succeeded so far because of the support of individuals, businesses, institutions, and communities that believe in our mission and goals whether they are directly involved with aquaculture or not.
By advocating for our work/programs, educating your networks about MIA as a whole, and/or connecting us with folks/organizations that you feel could help us achieve our goals, you can help us make a difference for MIA’s members.
